However, I struggled through them and can say I am glad I read them when I did as I wouldn't pick one up today. Have you tried Durrell's "Alexandria Quartet?" My favorite is Justine which I have carried with me from Texas to Cambodia to West Africa. Great writing with some rather dull characters. I never found Forster an inviting writer.
