I ran across this Rose is Rose cartoon the other day. Rose is putting Pasquale down for bed.
Pasquale: I can’t decide what to be when I grow up.
Rose: The simplest way to make decisions is to follow your instincts!
Pasquale snuggles in and falls asleep, when he is woken by two voices.
Two little people: Greetings, Pasquale! We’re your instincts Do and Don’t!
Pasquale: Which of you is Do and which is Don’t?
Two little men: We take turns!
Pasquale: Well, which of you is right and which of you is wrong?
Two little men: We takes turns on that, too…sometimes!
Pasquale lies back down and thinks.
Pasquale: Instincts apparently can be confusing…maybe it would be simpler to follow logical reasons!
Suddenly the room is filled with little people.
Lots of little people (in unison): Greetings!
