I’m still here. Just been ill. Actually, I haven’t been this sick in a long time. I am coming around though. I plan on doing a light workout this afternoon. It’s been a week since my last workout.
I haven’t counted calories or lifted more than a finger in a week. I haven’t gained, mostly due to a lack of appetite. I don’t want to lose my momentum but I know I have to take the time to recover so I don’t prolong my illness.
I have a wellness cocktail to help me beat these germs, Echinacea and Vitamin C plus lots of fluids.

Just found your site and I am in total awe that you completed a 5K! Awesome. I’ve committed to a mini-trathlon in July that includes a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and a 5K run at the end. To add a bit more pressure, I’m doing the weight loss thing with a local radio station — I weigh in on the air every Monday. Can you say accountability?! Yikes. Anyway, I’ve had issues with the running training — it killed the muscles below my knees. For a while there my blog posts were one giant whine-fest. I was limping for two weeks. I think I started running intervals too soon. I’m doing 45-60 minutes on the elliptical at least 4 days a week plus weight training for now. No treadmill for the past 2 weeks. Curious to know more about your training. Great job! And hope you feel better soon.

Syd, The challenge is a one yr commitment to try to lose weight together. We email one another and stuff. While you were sick, we set up teams. The challenge will end next yr with all of us taking a trip to Savannah, GA. Wanna join us there?

That sound good, you’d make a great team member (so motivational!) Who

started the challenge? How many teams are there? Why Savannah? What
are the rules/goals/etc? Can I think of anymore questions? Nope. Okay

Dooooooooon’t take the Echincia (or however you spell it) until you are 100% well. It’s an alright preventative, but if you’re already sick, it makes you WORSE.

Well Syddie…when you were out…..:( I started the challenge. We have already divided up into 3 teams of 3…:( So I cannot add you…unless you bring 2 more people with you to make a full team. I can send you the rules if you email me….xoxox
Savannah was a place that 3 people said yes to. No one else responded
