It’s also hard to think of a witty title everyday

Yes, it was hard again today. Really, I guess it’s always hard. I mean I may be in “onederland” but I’m still closer to 200 lbs. than 140 lbs. and running is hard when you have short stocky legs and the cardio abilities of a snail (or a penguin ;op).

Struggling through the difficulty, I made my 30 minute jog today. I’m running about as fast as I walk. But that’s okay. I actually love it, even though it’s hard. It makes me feel stronger, like if I can run for 30 minutes (however slow that may be) I can do anything.

Also, I did a new core (abs) workout on Monday (which I repeated today). That night I told Liz, “Man, I do crunch after crunch and I am never sore.” (Somewhere in my brain I equate soreness with progress). The next day I took back every word. Oh my. I hurt every time I use my abdomen (which happens to be quite often).

My favorite new one is an oblique move, hold a dumbbell in one hand and tilt to the side without twisting, slowly return to an upright position. When you are making the movement it doesn’t hurt, but the next day, whew boy.
