I was so low yesterday I had the hardest time doing anything, and I was starving. However I went to the gym and did the bare minimum on the treadmill, 1.5 miles. Half way through I felt much better. Then Bryce’s new girlfriend brought brownies all the way from Canada (no, not those kind of brownies!). So I went to bed happy and full of sugary love.
Today, I was tired and didn’t want to get up but I managed to wrangle myself from the sheets and drink some coffee. Once I was up I felt all right, much better than yesterday.
I just got back from a long trail walk with the Bob. I decided to take a new trail and found myself scrambling up a muddy hill wondering if I was lost. I started to get a bit panicky, the drama queen in my head sure that we’d wind up on the other side of the park and have to walk for hours and hours to get home. Luckily only 25 minutes later I found myself back on the main path.
Whew! Then I got to burn some extra calories on my way home laughing at myself. I have no idea how far I walked (more than 2 miles for sure) but my little polar watch says I walked about 45 minutes and burned 363 calories.
I think it would be wise to study the trail map next time, all though the adrenaline probably helps with the cardio part of my walking.
