In today’s society there are so many distractions. Everything seems to come easily. From the TV to the Internet, things are at our fingertips. But every so often you hear about someone doing something hard, something that takes commitment and hard work. And then there are people who are not only dedicating themselves to physical hardship and determination, they are doing to help others in need.
One person who falls in this category is my friend Joel Metz. He is training day after day to compete in a triathlon fundraiser to support leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma research. He is learning how to push his body beyond its maximum potential so that those who battle blood cancers have a fighting chance to survive. It’s a personal decision he’s made to help other people, but he needs your support to make his dedication and commitment make a difference in the lives of those with leukemia and lymphoma.
Please take a moment to visit Joel’s training website and consider making a donation to support his participation in the triathlon. Every little bit helps, and even a dollar or two can make a difference in the lives of people with blood cancers.
