I recently started trying to track my reading list on goodreads. It seems like a good community site and a way to find other books I’d like to read. But it is much simpler to keep my list here at Living Juicy and write reviews as I have time. Though I’m afraid my site lacks the community resources of good reads. I may continue to track them at both places, but I think my reading list here will always be more accurate.

I was reading over at Querencia the other day and I came across those fella’s “reading in progress” list. Pretty interesting. Then over at 2blowhards, they were so outdone.

My current reading wish list is fairly long in my opinion, but maybe not (I guess it’s all about perspective). I put together list of things I’d like to read, but the list grows daily. I can even walk around my house and find books I’ve yet to read and must get to. Here is my evolving list of books to read (in no particular order):

  • A Natural History of Love by Diane Ackerman
  • The Giver by Lois Lowry
  • The Secret Society of Demolition Writers by Aimee Bender , Benjamin Cheever, Michael Connelly, Sebastian Junger, Marc Parent
  • The Postman by David Brin
  • Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein
  • Flight: A Novel by Sherman Alexie
  • The Space Between Us: A Novel (P.S.) by Thrity Umrigar
  • Off Magazine Street by Ronald Everett Capps
  • The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey
  • A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
  • The Road by Cormac McCarthy
  • The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
