Techtonik: How The French Kids Are Doing It

What do you think?

Initially, I was like that is kind of dorky…but fun. Okay, I’m all about the dorkitude. Then, I was like this is…the shit! It reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite, only with much better music and some serious rhythm. I guess these French kids have a very definitive sense of style (mullets and spiky hair) and dance (planted feet and snaky arms) and they show up flash mob style to do it on the streets.

I don’t think it’s that far off from a lot of Hip-Hop dance in the states. Very loose body but sharp movements. Frankly I just love that he was wearing a pair of reebok pumps.

True, it’s got that feeling, in fact the article I read about it from started with featuring hip-hop dances the week before which lead to this topic. It is similar but the style is so 1980’s with the reeboks and the hair. I think it is pretty neat and they’ve got serious rhythm.

I love it, I think I could do (but would I look groofy or hip?)

Well…in my opinion it would look cool, as long as you were on the beat. Rhythm is the universal element of hip.
