Spring Gleaning

March 21st, 2008 Posted in Gleaned, Personal Notes

Today is the day I have decide to tackle the cleaning issues around the house. Spring cleaning fever is in my blood and it is keeping me up at night with all the ideas of what I can get done around here. I am ready to start…but I kind of feel like this:

from Garfield minus Garfield

No wonder there is so much to do, I’m at a loss for where to begin. I made a list while eating lunch today. Still, I’m feeling like doing anything other than cleaning right now–but I still have a strong urge to get it done.

So, I’ll procrastinate a bit more and share some web links with ya. Then I’ll start on…the kitchen.

Book Lamp Like Pandora for book lovers.

15 Seconds from Paper to PDF This looks like a pretty handy tool, perhaps pricey but maybe worth it if you have a lot of documents to scan.

While most scanner workflows require several steps to digitize documents, the Fujitsu ScanSnap transforms paper into PDF with a single button press.

Braun Woodline Expanding Table This table is so awesome. I think it is probably out of my price range and looks like it’s only sold in Europe. Bummer.

Some stuff I could do that would allow me to continue procrastinating my cleaning project. This is a link to a metafilter thread where someone asks advice for stuff to do that’s not boring.

Cassandra Barney Inspiration. Now paint, I’ve got some projects I need to work on–that would be way more fun than cleaning. Gaaaah. Must. Stay. Focused. But you might not have to, go click, her work is awesome.

Okay, that’s all I’ve got. Guess I’ll go clean the kitchen. Ready or not, mop, here I come.
