On Face Value

April 8th, 2008 Posted in Personal Notes

Today I went to the drug store to look for groovy colored eyeliner to use when I do my performance make-up. I found some cheap liquid stuff in garnet, purple and black. When I got home I cracked it open and it was cruddy. Not usable for drawing intricate details on my face. It was clumpy and inconsistent.

I don’t like buying stuff that doesn’t work. So, I’m posing a question. I need a new face moisturizer, but there are like a million varieties. I don’t know what to get.

I have combination skin, uber oily on the nose and uber dry on the cheeks. I also break out really easy and I have slight rosacea. I want a SPF and something to protect me from wrinkles now that I am over 30. I was using Murad’s Correcting Moisturizer, SPF 15 but it is kind of pricey and I don’t know that it really helped my rosacea much. I did love how light it was and that it had a green tint. I sometimes mix it with a light foundation for a tint. But I’m running out and want to see if I can find something that cost a bit less.

Okay, internet product gurus, what do you think? Have any recommendations?

Here is a link to an AMAZING holistic product. It moisturizes, helps with rosacea and quite frankly incredible. We have it at the Co-op. It is not cheap but SO worth it.
